A CARE home service will open its doors this week and provide 40 new jobs in the process.

Home Instead Senior Care is to tailor its service to the needs of elderly individuals in Blackpool, Wyre and Fylde to offer companionship and personal care.

Based on Park Street, Lytham, it is run by the mother and daughter partnership of Jackie and Sophie Hoyle, from Poulton.

Sophie’s experience in the sector stems from the family and childcare industry.

She said: “I have always cared for others and really wanted to open a business where I could make a difference in my own community after having my own experiences in finding care.

“My grandparents were adamant they didn’t want any help, so we looked for a long time to find someone they would like to help them and who we could trust.

“I realised there had to be a better way to provide care for older people to allow them to remain independent in their own homes.”

The jobs are needed as the care business is based on individual care.

Jackie said: “Social-care resources are very stretched and residential care very expensive.

“My pledge is the care we provide is the care I would want for myself and my loved ones.

“I’m interested in chatting to kind, compassionate and like-minded individuals who may be interested in joining the company and helping with the mission.”
