Blackpool North MP Paul Maynard has presented the winning shop in his campaign to find the area’s finest food business.
Over the summer some 30 shops over six categories battled it out to win the most public votes to determine the winner, over 3,000 online votes were cast.
With over 3,000 unique votes cast the competition was very popular
From the six category winners Paul had to choose the overall winner to receive the prize of lunch in Parliament. Neal’s Family Bakery on Victoria Road West in Cleveleys was the choice.
Paul said: “With over 3,000 unique votes cast the competition was very popular. The serious point was to highlight the quality and variety of produce on offer in our local high streets and that if we do not use the local butcher, baker, greengrocer, deli, fishmonger or cake shop then they will go out of business.”
