A PRISONER who absconded from Kirkham Prison has been found in Salford.
Anthony Twigg, 26, from Salford, went missing from HMP Kirkham on Thursday, but was found in his home town on Sunday.
Twigg was sentenced at Bolton Crown Court in 2008 to eight years in prison after being convicted of robbery, aggravated vehicle taking, causing actual bodily harm and detaining a child without lawful authority.
Greater Manchester Police arrested Twigg when they found him on a motorbike in the centre of the city.
He was brought before the courts yesterday and was returned to HMP Manchester by police.
A huge campaign was launched to find the prisoner, who was missing for four days before police traced his whereabouts.
