THE sun shone for St Mary’s Catholic College PE Day as the sporty school got into the Olympic spirit.
All students represented an Olympic country, whose flags were carried in for the ‘opening ceremony’, accompanied by national anthems.
Canada, France, Kenya, Ethiopia, China, Mexico, India, Australia, Spain and New Zealand were the countries represented by the ten form groups.
Students were able to compete in a variety of events, including handball, bench ball, football, cricket, tug of war, curling and the Usain Bolt 100m challenge.
There was a fantastic atmosphere throughout the day with, students fully engaged in performing to the best of their ability.
Canada were the year seven winners, while Australia won for years eight and nine, and India for year ten.
