The indoor market at Cleveleys is one step closer to becoming a discount store after being almost entirely cleared out by traders.
Landlord Salim Patel said the building, on Victoria Road West, is on track to become a Poundland by next month.
He said: “We have been telling traders since last Tuesday to take their stock if they want it.
“We have allowed everyone in and will honour the agreement for people to take their stock. Around 90 per cent of people have now taken their stock out.”
But there was anger yesterday as some traders claimed they were not being given access to their property, amid a continued security presence at the site.
But Mr Patel said: “There has been security on site since last week and they will stay until the work is completed.”
The market closed on October 28.
