Man was drunk and disorderly at club

A man scuffled with doorstaff after they refused to let him into a club.

Joseph Pearson, 41, of Central Drive, Blackpool, pleaded guilty to being drunk and disorderly and possessing cannabis.

He was fined £70 and ordered to pay £20 victims’ surcharge by District Judge Jeff Brailsford sitting at Blackpool Magistrates’ Court.

Nicola Corney, prosecuting,said that on September 14 at about midnight, police in Market Street saw Pearson trying to push past door staff.

When he was warned about his behaviour he repeatedly swore at officers.

Peter Manning, defending, said his client had drug and alcohol problems and had little recollection of the incident.
