A man is said to have threatened to rape a woman and then threw a banana skin which hit her in the face.
Naughton Milner had only been released from prison four days previously.
He had gone to meet the woman but then lost his temper.
Milner, 35, of Springfield Road, North Shore, pleaded guilty to two offences of assaulting the woman.
He was bailed for pre-sentence reports and will be sentenced at a later date by Blackpool magistrates.
Pam Smith, prosecuting, said he met her to collect his bank card from the woman on October 26, but became angry with her and shoved her hard with both hands before making the sickening threat.
He then lay down in the middle of Victory Road before picking up a banana skin which he threw at her, hitting her in the face.
Ashley Fisher, defending, said: “He says he did not threaten to rape her.
“He says what he said was, ‘I hate you’.”
