A man had to be talked down from the roof of a multi-storey car park after a four hour stand off in Blackpool.
The man, 33, was taken for a mental health assessment after police negotiators managed to bring the incident at Blackpool Victoria Hospital to a safe conclusion.
Officers were called at 4pm on Saturday where they found the man on top of the hospital car park.
It was not until 8pm that negotiators were able to get him to come down.
It is understood the man has previously received mental health treatment in Burnley
A spokesman for Lancashire Police said: “We got our trained negotiators out and when he came down he was taken into hospital for assessment.
“He was up there for around four hours.”
The man was not physically injured in the incident and no arrests were made.
