Man on indecent images charges

A man accused of making indecent photographs of children - some alleged to be at the highest level of indecency - has made his first appearance before a magistrates’ court.

Michael Harrison, aged 25, of Hamlet Road, Fleetwood, faces 11 offences, which are alleged to have been committed in the port in the period before May last year.

Alison Quanbrough, prosecuting, asked for the case to be heard at crown court.

Suzanne Mugford, defending, told the court her client would not indicate pleas to the offences at this stage.

Harrison was bailed to appear at Preston Crown Court on October 29.

He appeared the bench before Blackpool Magistrates’ Court.
