A STUDENT lost his temper when he checked his girlfriend’s Facebook account and found she had been seeing someone else.

Jamie Kelshaw, 22, of Windy Harbour Road, Singleton, pleaded guilty to causing damage when he appeared before Blackpool magistrates.

On April 19 Kelshaw’s girlfriend was asleep when at 3.15am she was woken by him shouting and swearing.

Kelshaw then stamped on her laptop before throwing it and her coat and suitcase out into the street.

David Charnley, defending, said his client, who had no previous convictions,became jealous when he checked his girlfriend’s Facebook account and found she had been seeing someone else.

Kelshaw was given a six months conditional discharge and ordered to pay £200 compensation plus £85 costs.
