A man was left with a 'significant cut' after allegedly being attacked with a vodka bottle in Blackpool.

Police were called to an address on Kilmory Place, Bispham, where a row between 'pals' reportedly turned violent.

The victim, a 67-year-old man, was attacked after the pair had been drinking together yesterday afternoon, police say.

Detectives were today due to interview a suspect in connection with the attack, which took place at around 2pm on Wednesday.

Det Sgt Rik Irving, of Blackpool Police, said: "The victim has been hit on the head with a vodka bottle.

"There was a bit of a disagreement and one of the males was hit on the head.

"The victim has got a significant cut to his head but it is not life-threatening."

A 34-year-old local man has been arrested on suspicion of wounding.
