A MAN has been sentenced to life in prison today after pleading guilty to the murder of a man in Blackpool.
John Needham, 37, of Bedford Road, Blackpool appeared at Preston Crown Court and was sentenced to 15 years in prison for the murder of Darren Hilton.
At around 4.30pm on September 18, police were called to a shop on Cromwell Road in the town following a report Mr Hilton, 33, had been stabbed.
He managed to get to the shop to raise the alarm after receiving the stab wound during an altercation with Needham on Bedford Road.
He was treated at the scene by paramedics and was taken to Blackpool Victoria Hospital, but was sadly pronounced dead on arrival.
