A man was arrested for his fourth breach of a restraining order after being found with a woman he was banned from seeing.

Barry Taylor, 40, of Vance Road, Blackpool, pleaded guilty to failing to comply with the conditions of a restraining order.

He was sentenced to a six-week curfew, from 7pm to 7am, and ordered to pay £85 costs plus £60 victims’ surcharge by District Judge David Purcell, sitting at Blackpool Magistrates’ Court.

Pam Smith, prosecuting, said Taylor had been put on a one-year restraining order which banned him from contacting his girlfriend or from entering Grantham Road. On November 18, a police officer saw Taylor walking along Grantham Road with the woman.

Steven Townley, defending, said both Taylor and the woman had asked for applications to be made to have the restraining order lifted.
