Man faces court trial over knife fracas

A Blackpool man accused of threatening his next door neighbour with a knife will have his case dealt with by Preston Crown Court.

Paul Moore, 36, was arrested on March 1 after police were called to Rose Avenue, Blackpool.

I am not applying for bail as the only home he has to go to is next door to the complainants in this matter

Officers had to intervene in a confrontation between neighbours andfound Moore brandishing a knife, Pam Smith, prosecuting, toldBlackpool magistrates.

Moore was remanded in custody until he appears at the higher court on March 25.

Steven Townley, defending, said he accepted the case would have to be dealt with at Crown Court.

“I am not applying for bail as the only home he has to go to is next door to the complainants in this matter,” Mr Townley added.
