Three teenagers sparked a major rescue effort after getting stuck in mud at Stanah.
Police, fire, ambulance and coastguard crews were called to the mudflats in Wyre Estuary Country Park, Thornton, shortly before 8.30pm on Sunday.
The boy and two girls had walked out before becoming stuck in the mud.
One of the 13-year-olds was able to call 999 from a mobile phone.
The children, who were submerged to their torsos, were taken to Blackpool Victoria Hospital for a check up.
A spokesman for Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service said: “Firefighters, coastguard, police and ambulance services turned out to report of youths stuck in mud. A successful team effort resulted in rescue by coastguard of the three youths.”
