Lytham hit the target in final battle

The Year Nine team from Lytham St Annes Technology and Performing Arts College won the Wyre and Fylde netball tournament.

It was a reward for hard work and determination by a side that started slowly but improved steadily.

Group victories over Baines, Fleetwood and St Aidan’s resulted in a semi-final against Arnold, which LSA won 10-5.

The final was a Lytham derby against King Edward VII and Queen Mary School, which LSA won 4-1.

The Year 10 team almost produced made it a double for LSA, embarking on an unbeaten run to the final in which they lost a thriller to Baines.

LSA beat Garstang in the semis.
