World Champion's Blackpool praise
DARTS supremo Phil "The Power" Taylor was all smiles as he met his adoring public in Blackpool and announced: "I love this town."
More than 1,000 people turned out to see the newly crowned World
Matchplay champion at a town centre sports store.
Laughing and joking with the crowd, Phil paid special tribute to Blackpool and its famous Winter Gardens' venue – the scene of many of
his triumphs.
He said: "The tournament in Blackpool is without doubt my favourite and I can't say enough about Blackpool as a place."
Taylor made it 10 victories in the Winter Gardens on Sunday, crushing rival Terry Jenkins 18-4 in a masterclass of darts to bag 100, 000 prize money.
