Woman dies in Fylde horror crash

Police attended the scene

A WOMAN has died following a horror crash on a Fylde road.

A Citroen was traveling along Blackpool Road, St Michael’s, at 11.15 this morning when it lost control and was in collision with a black Suzuki 4 x 4.

The Suzuki was traveling in the opposite direction and both drivers were injured.Police said a female passenger was taken to Preston Royal Hospital where she late died from her injuries.

Blackpool Road was closed for around four and a half hours for an accident investigation to take place.

Police are appealing for witnesses to the collision or to anyone with any information that might assist the investigation to come forward
