Water torture comes to Blackpool
NOW where did I put those keys?
Breathless Danny Hunt was left to "pick" his way out of this little lot as Houdini's fearsome water torture cell came to Blackpool.
The 29-year-old illusionist wowed a group of excited-but-nervous fans at Blackpool's Sea Life Centre as he performed the death-defying stunt.
Handcuffed at the waist, neck bound in stocks he was then lowered upside down into a small perspex tank which filled with water.
It is fair to say Danny's had more relaxing Tuesdays!
As the audience - and obviously the man himself - held their collective breaths, the talented escapologist - billed as a "British David Blaine" - used a simple hairpin to pick his way free.
Emerging from the tank of death, Danny said: "It was probably one of the most nerve-racking things I've ever done and I've got the cuts and bruises to prove it.
"Houdini classed the water torture cell as his most dangerous escape.
"Our version of it also comes into the 10 out of 10 for danger category.
"I can hold my breath for about a minute and a half under water and I managed to pick my way out just in time.
"It's my idea of fun!"
