VIDEO: Sun and Blue Skies make fun day a great success

Nurses held a family fun day to raise funds for facilities for their patients.

The day of entertainment was held at Blackpool Cricket Club’s Stanley Park ground in aid of Blue Skies Hospitals Fund, where they raised £3,700.

Lianne Harrison, one of the organising nurses from Blackpool Victoria Hospital’s intensive care unit, said: “We’re just aiming to raise as much much as possible.

“We were just thinking the patients who come into out unit aren’t having a good time, so anything we can get for them to make their time with us a bit easier would help them.”
