April 1-June 29: Veterans talk to pupils about experiences.
June 21-29: 'I am a veteran' – taxi, bus and tram driver veterans to wear badges.
June 21-22: Military Display – including Royal Marines display team doing beach assault, landings and hostage situation display.
June 21-29: Banner with Veterans Helpline number displayed on The Big One.
June 25: Veterans Gala Dinner with military band at Empress Ballroom.
June 26: Organ concert from Phil Kelsall in Tower Ballroom.
June 26-29 : Air Race
June 27: VETERANS DAY – Cenotaph service of celebration and rededication, unveiling of a new Freedom Statue and Promenade march past by veterans and 12 Regiment Royal Artillery. All schools encouraged to have Veterans Day service. Pleasure Beach show especially for Veterans Day. Aero Grand Prix display. Concert on the Promenade. Veterans challenge, military displays, night parachute drop and fireworks display.
June 28: Veterans cricket match.
June 29: Veterans golf day at Stanley Park Golf Course.
