Taxi driver was claiming home benefit
A MAN committed his second offence of benefit fraud when he failed to reveal he was working as a taxi driver.
Kevin Banham, 48, of Alpic Drive, Norbreck, pleaded guilty to failing to promptly notify a change in circumstances.
He was fined 120 with 120 costs and ordered to pay the 15 victims' surcharge by Blackpool magistrates.
Banham illegally claimed 922 in housing benefits between October 2007 and January last year when he did not disclose he was working.
Banham admitted doing taxi work and told investigators he had been in a country band for about a year. He had a previous conviction when he failed to declare his wife was working.
