Speeders monitored in village

WESHAM parish council has become the first in the Fylde to buy a speed monitoring device for their community.

The rechargable battery device – which cost 2,500 – will be used at different locations.

Ward councillor, Simon Renwick, who also sits on the parish council, said: "I think this is a real advancement for a forward-thinking council, and I am proud to be involved."

Motorists using Fleetwood Road and Weeton Road in the village will be the first to see the device.
