Sheep on road cause traffic chaos
A FLOCK of sheep had to be rounded up by police after straying on to a main road.
About 20 of the animals got on to Preston New Road at Freckleton just as the rush hour was beginning yesterday morning.
Thankfully there were no casualties and the sheep were safely returned to their field by the farmer assisted by police officers.
Spring fair
BLACKPOOL Unitarian Church will hold its spring fair on Saturday, April 19.
The event will take place at 2pm and there will be clothes, bric-a-brac, jewellery, books and a tombola.
Admission is 50p and includes tea or coffee and biscuits.
The fair will be held in the new church hall, the entrance is on Thames Road, South Shore.
