Scooby Doo, where are you? Mereside!
THIS proud pooch is lapping up the Scooby Snacks after being named top dog in a real life crime fighting caper.
The ironically named Mini the Great Dane has just scooped a prize for looking the double of cartoon hero Scooby Doo.
When Mini's owner spotted a competition on the internet to find a living equivalent of the famous four-legged crime-fighter she jumped at the chance.
And Amanda Collins' hard work has paid off when her nine-month-old pet was named by silver screen giant Warner as the cartoons closest look-a-like.
Amanda, 23, of Branstree Road, Mereside, who is huge fan of the lovable, but accident prone, mutt, will now get a walk-on part in Scooby's latest stage show.
A specialist panel of judges, including Scooby-Doo experts from Warner Home Video and Liz Cook, Treasurer of the Midland & West of England Great Dane Club, deliberated over the entrants.
Amanda said: "I have been a huge fan of Scooby since I was a kid so I heard about this competition I decided to give it a go.
"One of my reasons for buying Mini was because she looked like Scooby when she was small, well, more like Scrappy (Scooby Doo's nephew) but I knew she would grow into looking more like Scooby.
"I have had her since she was four months old but she was mistreated as a puppy.
"She is wonderful and I love her to bits, she is so like Scooby it's unreal – fast, knocking things over – but I wouldn't swap her for the world."
Mini took part in last weekend's Westby Dog Show and is currently training to be a Pets as Therapy dog.
Amanda will walk on stage at the Liverpool Echo Arena as part of the Scooby Doo and the Samurai Sword UK tour.
