Ross rockets in to our galaxy ...
A ONE-man Star Wars show is heading for the Fylde coast.
Canadian actor Charles Ross spent much of his childhood in a galaxy far, far away watching Star Wars videos.
But now that mis-spent youth is reaping dividends, because Charles is touring with his single-handed show where he gets to play all the characters from his favourite films.
The One-Man Star Wars Trilogy is being performed at Blackpool Grand Theatre on Sunday July 27.
He says: "When I was a child I lived on a farm in Prince George, a northern part of Canada.
"We had long winters and because of that we spent a lot of time indoors. We had no television reception, so you had to watch what you had on video.
"We only had three movies and nine times out of 10, I ended up watching Star Wars.
"A lot of times, it would just be on as background noise, and I would think that a lot of it has gone into my head through osmosis."
Since the show's dazzling debut in Toronto in January 2001, One-Man Star Wars Trilogy has sold out every night at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, performed in the mud at Glastonbury, and enjoyed a West End run at the Garrick Theatre in London.
Charles is now bringing the One-Man Star Wars Trilogy back to the UK for one final time before moving on to a new project. So this could be your last chance to catch his affectionate and very funny tribute to the films that have become a part of so many people's lives.
One Man Star Wars Trilogy rockets into the Grand Theatre, Blackpool on Sunday July 27 at 7.30pm.
Tickets are priced 16.50 (children 10.50) and are on sale from the Grand Theatre box office. Concessions available. Call (01253) 290190 or book online at www.blackpoolgrand.co.uk
