Riverdance porpoise put down
A porpoise got into difficulties when it arrived on the shoreline - next to Riverdance - yesterday afternoon.
The animal was spotted by the coastguard at around 3pm and holidaymakers tried to encourage it to return to the water.
The RSPCA were called to the scene and the decision was taken to put the porpoise down as it was unable to return to the sea and was in distress.
