HUNDREDS of holidaymakers faced delays this weekend after two Jet2 aircraft broke down.
Passengers expecting to fly from Blackpool Airport to Alicante were transferred to Leeds/Bradford Airport on Thursday due to a technical error.
And around 150 tourists in Tenerife faced delays of more than 24 hours after the plane due to fly them back to Blackpool also reported technical problems.
A spokesman said: “Three coach loads of passengers had to be taken to Leeds/Bradford airport as the plane they were due to board went tech.
“For some reason they were flown back into Leeds/Bradford and had to be driven back into the Fylde coast.
“Passengers in Tenerife had to stay in a hotel overnight and were due to leave on Saturday.”
