IF these walls could talk they would tell of some very happy students and staff.
Highfield Humanities College has opened the doors to its new multi-million pound facilities and it is getting rave reviews.
Around £24m has been invested to improve the campus, with state-of-the-art classrooms, community areas and the most up-to-date technology being installed.
The school features a variety of learning zones and a resource centre on the Highfield Road site in South Shore, to inspire generations of pupils.
Coun Sarah Riding, cabinet member for education at Blackpool Council, said: “The new Highfield Humanities College is absolutely fantastic and well worth all the hard work and disruption endured by the staff, children and parents.
“For generations to come this school will provide the very best in technology and a learning environment to give our young residents the best start possible.”
The three-storey building has transformed the landscape of the area and it is hoped it will contribute as much to the local community as it does to pupils.
The school now features a hub for seminars and learning support sessions for members of the public while the ground floor boasts eight learning zones and a shared learning centre for students.
