MPs accused over police cutbacks
FOUR Fylde coast MPs have been accused of putting the public at risk by voting for police cutbacks.
Lancashire Police Federation chairman John O’Reilly criticised them for supporting cuts of up to 20 per cent in police budgets.
Mr O’Reilly said: “They haven’t looked at the devastation which will be caused by these cuts.
“They have just toed the party line and disregarded public opinion and fears.
“I bet none of them put it in their election manifesto last May they would be supporting cut-backs which would seriously affect the force’s ability to tackle crime. If they had I doubt they would have been elected.”
