Mother attacks both her partners
A MOTHER-of-three who left her male partner for a woman ended up attacking both of them.
Helen Seaton, 45, of Preston Road, Lytham, pleaded guilty to one assault on former partner Kenneth Riley and two assaults on her civil partner Diane Seaton.
Helen Seaton wept in the dock as presiding magistrate, Simon Bridge, told her "Domestic violence is a very serious offence."
She was sentenced to 12 months supervision and ordered to pay 65 costs by Blackpool magistrates.
Claire Hilton, prosecuting, said Seaton took her three children to her former partner Kenneth Riley's home in Warton. When she returned later she went for Mr Riley shouting and screaming abuse, before grabbing his neck and digging her nails in.
On May 20, Seaton and her civil partner, Diane, argued over the defendant's drinking. Seaton slapped her partner about the head.
Stephen Duffy, defending, said: "She brought to her new life the emotional baggage of her previous life."
