Three children sparked a beach search after running off from their parents.

Lytham Coastguard was called after the siblings were reported missing on St Annes beach at around 6pm.

The children - aged six, eight and ten - were found half an hour later by RNLI crew members close to the town’s lifeboat station.

A coastguard spokesman said: “They were given some safety advice.”
