Men in court over off-licence robbery

TWO men accused of a robbery at a Blackpool off-licence in which the shopkeeper was hit over the head with a bottle of wine have appeared in court.

Dane Parker, a 26-year-old electrician, of Town Mill Brow, and Darren Kendrick, a jobless 26-year-old, of Whitehall Street, both of Rochdale, are charged with robbing the shopkeeper of cash, cigarettes and alcohol valued at 245.

The offence is alleged to have taken place at The Full Moon off-licence, Waterloo Road, South Shore, on Saturday.
