A TEENAGER stole another customer’s order of chicken from the counter of a fast food restaurant.
Lee Freeman, a jobless 19-year-old, of Fielding Road, North Shore, pleaded guilty to stealing five chicken pieces from McDonalds.
He was given a 12-month conditional discharge and ordered to pay £3.89 compensation by Blackpool magistrates.
Martine Connah, prosecuting, said that on February 27 a customer’s order was placed on the counter at the restaurant’s Amy Johnson Way branch.
When the customer returned a box of chicken pieces was missing. CCTV showed Freeman picking up the box and putting it under his jacket.
Leisa Splaine, defending, said her client, who had eaten the chicken outside, had pleaded guilty at the earliest opportunity.
