A KAYAKER fishing off the coast at Cleveleys had to be rescued after his canoe capsized.
The man – who put out a mayday call at around 7.15pm on Saturday – was helped back into his boat after a fellow kayaker spotted him in distress.
He was then escorted back to shore where the Fleetwood coastguard team were waiting, but he did not require medical treatment.
