Man caught with knife and cannabis
A MAN had a kitchen knife up his sleeve when police stopped him on the street.
Terence Sterritt, 43, of Knowle Avenue, North Shore, admitted possession of an offensive weapon and having cannabis.
He was sentenced to three months' imprisonment by District Judge Jeffrey Brailsford sitting at Blackpool Magistrates' Court.
Claire Hilton, prosecuting, said police saw Sterritt walking along Holmfield Road on January 13 at 4am. He appeared nervous when officers stopped to speak to him.
Asking if he had anything on him, he produced a kitchen knife with a two-inch blade from up his sleeve.
Police also found three small bags of cannabis.
Sterritt had now been recalled to jail for breaching his prison licence, for an offence of aggravated burglary with a knife.
Robert Castle, defending, said after previously being released from jail Sterritt had got accommodation where other residents had threatened him.
