A MAN has admitted murdering a father-of-two in St Annes.
Unemployed Jason Brookes, 22, of Elizabeth Court, Layton, pleaded guilty to murdering professional baker Andrew Boardman at a flat on Glen Eldon Road, St Annes.
He appeared at Preston Crown Court this morning for a plea and case management hearing.
Police and ambulance crews were called out at around 11pm on Saturday, June 30 after reports a man had been assaulted at a flat.
Officers found Mr Boardman, 53, unconscious having sustained injuries to his face and body.
He was taken to Blackpool Victoria Hospital but his condition deteriorated and he died the following day.
A post-mortem concluded he died from multiple injuries.
