THE leading Conservative group maintained their hold on Fylde Council after a close run election campaign.

Leader Coun David Eaves was celebrating after his party secured a narrow majority of 26 seats compared to the opposition’s 25 on the council.

The results for each ward are as follows, the names in bold are the elected councillors (* denotes sitting councillor):
