Police were today warning motorists to take extra care on the roads after two accidents on the M55 caused by the icy weather.
A car ended up on its roof after the driver lost control of the vehicle on the westbound M55 just after the Broughton junction on Thursday morning.
And on the eastbound side there was also an accident between junction three at Kirkham and Broughton.
Neither of the incidents has caused major disruption.
The North West Motorway Police have urged motorists to be aware of black ice on the roads.
