Help Jodie win BBC talent show

WE'RE backing Jodie – and so can you!

Blackpool's Jodie Prenger will tonight be singing to win viewers votes and another week in BBC1's 'I'd Do Anything!' search for a star.

And we're asking Jodie's fans in the resort to show their loyalty to the local girl by displaying our free cut-out-and-keep Jodie poster!

Get you poster in Saturday's Gazette.

Jodie, 28, of Newton Drive, has had a tough week fighting off a throat infection, but a BBC spokesman said she would definitely be on song for tonight's show, hosted by Graham Norton.

Jodie is one of 11 girls, chosen from thousands, to get through to the second live show in a bid to land the part of Nancy in a West End production of 'Oliver!'. The two polling the fewest votes will be singing for survival in tomorrow's results show when Lord Andrew Lloyd Webber will decide who will go and who will stay.

Bookies' favourite Jodie sailed through last week's first live show on viewer votes.

"I wasn't prepared for the emotional rollercoaster ride of the first show and the results, it was at great to have my family and my boyfriend, Steve, there and before I sang they showed a little shot of Blackpool. It's always good to have a little bit of home with you when you are so nervous.

"But even with the nerves I loved it and I hope viewers did too.

"I just want to say thank you to everyone, via The Gazette, for all their support."
