Girl, 6, injured in car accident

A SIX-year-old girl was injured after being hit by a car in Carleton.

The girl was struck as she crossed the road close to the Castle Gardens pub just after 5pm last night.

She was hit by a Vauxhall Corsa.

Police and paramedics were called to the scene and she was taken to Blackpool Victoria Hospital with facial injuries.

The road from Castle Gardens to Amounderness Way was closed for more than an hour.
