Fylde coast cyclists are being asked to help those with muscle-wasting conditions by using their own muscle power.
The Muscular Dystrophy Campaign is seeking recruits for the 60-mile Manchester to Blackpool Bike Ride on July 13, which will take 8,000 cyclists from Manchester United’s Old Trafford ground all the way to South Promenade.
Money raised will help fund ground-breaking research into treatments for muscular dystrophy and related conditions and support families affected.
Charles Horton, fundraising manager, said: “This is a great way to use your muscles to help others who have difficulty in using theirs.”
Cyclists will receive fundraising support and a T-shirt. For information or to register, call 01244 53655 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
