Fylde horror crash

A WITNESS has described the terrifying moment a driver ploughed across a shop car park and smashed through a garden wall.

The incident happened at Tesco Express on Kilnhouse Lane, St Annes, at just after 12.30pm yesterday.

Witnesses described a man driving a gold Vauxhall Astra come out of the Shell petrol station next to the row of shops and "shoot" the wrong way across the one-way forecourt and car park before smashing through a wall and into the garden of a home next to the store.

Davey Coulter, 66, of nearby Cromer Road, said: "It's lucky nobody was killed."
