Fleetwood’s firefighters are inviting the public to come and explore the fire station, catch them in action and find out more about fire safety at an open day on Saturday.
The station will be open between 10am and 3pm, with stalls selling refreshments, as well as children’s activities and even a bouncy castle.
Watch manager Kevin Warwick said: “While, ultimately, the theme of the day will be community fire safety, we haven’t forgotten the fun stuff either.
“The fire station belongs to everyone in the community, and so what we want our open day to be something really exciting that lots of visitors can come along to, meet us, take a look around and have some good family fun at the same time.
“The open day is a free event and open to everyone, young and old, big and small and we’re hoping for some good weather too. However, come rain or shine, we think you’ll have a good time.
“There will be some fund-raising on the day to help raise money for the firefighters’ charity, but if you find yourself at a loose end or want to have some fun with the family, come on down, we’ll look forward to seeing you there.”
