Forum to hear what is on offer

A MAJOR conference is being staged in Blackpool next week for local people aged 50 or more to find out more about their own town.

The fourth annual Senior Voice Forum meeting, in association with Age Concern Blackpool, Blackpool Council and the Primary Care Trust, is being held at the Hilton Hotel, North Shore, on Wednesday at 10am with more than 150 guests expected to attend.

Speakers

The day-long event will be opened by the Mayor of Blackpool, Coun Robert Wynne, and will feature a range of speakers from the Civic Trust, Blackpool Council, Blackpool Rangers and the Grundy Art Gallery – all giving information about what is available for people to do in Blackpool.

Blackpool Gospel Choir will also be performing.

Audrey Ellis, from Senior Voice Forum, said: "We are hoping to inspire the people attending to go out and explore Blackpool, as it is our town and it has much to offer."
