Eleven arrested during derby clash

THREE Blackpool FC fans were arrested for letting off flares during the Seasiders' derby day draw with Preston North End.

The hotly anticipated clash finished 0-0 at Deepdale.

Police arrested two men just before half-time after a flare was set off in the away end of the ground.

Then 10 minutes later another flare went off prompting another arrest.

All three men were ejected from the game.

A police spokesman said: "The first flare went off after half-time and two men were arrested.

"The second went off 10 minutes later and there was another arrest."

The spokesman added four people were also ejected for drinking alcohol.

A total of 11 people were arrested before, during and after the game, police said.
