Drug charge duo in court

A COUPLE accused of possessing heroin, crack cocaine and diazepam with intent to supply the drugs have made their first appearance at court.

Paul Gormley, 22, and Alexis Dow, a 21-year-old mother-of-one, both of Leeds Road, Blackpool, are charged with having more than five grams of crack cocaine, over two grams of heroin and 4,000 diazepam tablets.

They are also accused of possessing cannabis.

The offences are alleged to have taken place at their home on Wednesday.

Claire Hilton, prosecuting, opposed bail for Gormley.

Blackpool magistrates said the case must go to crown court and adjourned it to May 30. Gormley was remanded in custody.

Dow was bailed to live at an address on Milbourne Street, report daily to police and not go to her previous Leeds Road address, as conditions of her bail.
