Creatures cause a fright

THEY might have dressed as pretend vampires and witches, but the spooky creatures were real at the Summerfield Day Nursery.

The youngsters enjoyed a creepy-crawly roadshow featuring a millipede named Milly, a royal python snake and a giant snail as well as a tarantula.

Getting into the spirit, they came to nursery dressed from witches to pumpkins, vampires and ghosts for a Halloween fancy dress party yesterday.

Sarah Davies, who also organised a special Halloween dinner at the nursery on St Annes Road East, said: “The children enjoyed having the opportunity to touch and see a real tarantula.

“All the children where very brave and none of them were frightened by the creatures.”
