Cowell arrives in Blackpool
As the black Rolls Royce drove down the Prom and came to a stop outside the Winter Gardens, the emergence of Simon Cowell set the crowd roaring with delight as the auditions for Britain’s Got Talent got underway in Blackpool.
The town’s St John’s Square had already been brought to a standstill earlier today as the show’s stars started to arrive.
David Walliams and Alesha Dixon arrived to scenes of great excitement as presenters Ant and Dec filmed the crowd ahead of the auditions.
And with a new panel of judges on hand to help Cowell decide the fate of the performers, Winter Gardens staff rolled out the red carpet.
Actress Amanda Holden did not make an appearance as the star had been forced to cancel her visit to Blackpool.
The heavily pregnant celebrity was detained in hospital last night for observation.
