Council quizzes residents on town hall's 'priorities'

PEOPLE living in Kirkham are being asked what they think the local council's priorities should be.

Fylde's ruling Tory group is consulting local residents to gain their thoughts on services and what should be top of a 'to-do list'.

A questionnaire, which has been sent to more than 3,000 homes in the town, is quizzing residents for their opinions on the current level of service.

Councillors say they will then use the answers to help formulate policy and identify areas to campaign on.

Wesham councillor Simon Renwick, who is co-ordinating the survey, said: "I am delighted that we are undertaking this initiative.

"It is really important that we get as many views and opinions as possible.

"I urge all people who receive a survey to fill it in and let us know your thoughts about local services and priorities as well as letting the local Conservative Party know you feelings on national issues like the NHS."

Residents in the rest of Fylde can also take part in the survey by downloading it at www.ruralfylde.co.uk.
